Shifting Spaces Part II- Mental Spaces

It’s all about expansion; stretching out to heal hearts, old wounds, (or new) and learning how to “paddle one’s own canoe” (a nicer way to say…cope). We can mentally shift our attitudes, our self-care, or begin to embrace a growth mindset by reading, listening to podcasts, doing art, listening to new-to-you artists/music, listening to a differing opinion, or even cooking. Simply put, LEARNING!

Once we can settle the mind from clutter, we can begin to get quiet and listen to what WE need as an individual. I’ve had a lot of time to empty the clutter of my mind and read these days. It has been an absolute JoY to read for fun & curiosity, and for this time, I am forever grateful!

There are so many ways we can shift our mental space: We can start a meditation or yoga practice, poem writing, journaling, or mindful walking. It’s really whatever you can do for yourself. A gift of time, just for YOU. It can be 5 minutes to mindfully breathe, take a quick walk around the office, or read an article on your favorite platform. Maybe it’s taking yourself on a date to a museum or movie. It’s up to you how you will gift to yourself.

Recently finished the book by Mel Robbins: The High 5 Habit. Highly recommend it! It’s a quick read and FUN! She is a no-nonsense writer, has great examples, and who wouldn’t want to give themselves a High 5 Every day for just showing up? I won’t give too much away, so go pick up a copy! Also, near the finishing chapters of What’s your Heaven, 7 lessons to heal the past and live fully now, by Rebecca Rosen. All I have on this one is WOW! This one may be a bit woo-wooey for some, so Google it to see if it may resonate with you. 😊

Some of the fascinating through lines from these books is that we have ourselves to manage, we alone can heal if we put in the work, no one is coming to save us, and this idea of intergenerational trauma and our energy frequencies, and how they vibrate out into the Universe. I’ve admitted this before; I get stuck in my head, like, a.lot. I’m sure some of us have this ongoing loop playing in the background (subconscious) that tells us that we are not worthy of ‘the thing’, that we are not attractive enough, that we are not smart enough, or that we don’t deserve ‘the thing’….oh the loop and ‘the thing’ goes on and on.

These are what are called low energy frequencies, aka, VIBES. When we are operating from a place of these lower vibes, the din is draining us of our inherent potential. It’s also harder to communicate with Spirit when we are operating at the lower frequencies. Our Angels have a hard time hearing us as does Spirit. Think about it, if we are all operating from this low vibe place of lack and low self-esteem, that din perpetuates and feeds off itself, creating even lower vibes. How does that saying go: “Misery loves company”? I’ve been there, and perhaps perpetuated or fed it myself. However, I now recognize how terrible that is for me and the others who were subjected to that by me, so for that, I AM Sorry.

Therefore, we must work hard to start believing in ourselves again- WE ARE FRIGGIN’ AWESOME, just as we are, and we need to do whatever it takes to rise above and be heard by the Universe, or Spirit, or our Angels, with these higher vibe frequencies. How do we get there? By strongly believing in a simple statement that starts out: I AM THAT I AM. Loosely translated it means I AM who I AM, I will become what I CHOOSE to become, I will BE what I want to BE. Remember, we have Free Will, and we are Cause over our lives.

So, tell me, how do you want to BE? Who do you want to BECOME? I want to become more confident and stop doubting myself or my abilities. I want to trust in myself that I AM worthy. That I AM Deserving. I want to cut that cord from my intergenerational legacy and heal. By doing this work to heal my limiting beliefs, I firmly believe that I’m also healing my ancestors’ limiting beliefs too, even if they are no longer on this Earthly plane.

We’ve got a lot of healing to do. It’s hard work and it takes practice. But I want You to Believe it with every cell in your body and I want you to really feel it and say it with me: “I AM Worthy. I AM Deserving. I AM Enough.”
