About Me

“Hi, my name is Sheila, want to meet me?”

According to my Mom, this was my ‘opening line’ as a child. I loved meeting new and exciting people and was always eager for them to meet me too! Maybe it was because we moved a lot or I was curious, or an only child? Well, maybe all of those, but the best part is that I’m still eager to meet new people!

I’ve been interested in Feng Shui for many years. It is only recently that I took a deep dive into Feng Shui to broaden my knowledge and feed my curiosity, which turned into a certification from The School of Intention, as a Feng Shui Professional!

I have always loved learning new things and when I discovered Dana Claudat, the Feng Shui Master and founder of The School of Intention, her approach, teaching and methodology of Feng Shui just clicked for me. With her unique Method, there are no strict Feng Shui rules, no fixes, or cures for a home in order to bring it or the occupants “good luck”. Her philosophy is that we are all good luck charms, and that as the creators of our own life, we also make our own luck. Brilliant, right? Her teachings are based on the principles of Infinite Possibilities, Creative Awakening, and your Intention.

Wow, so freeing, Right? Infinite Possibility, really? I always get stuck in my head. My Intention? Do I even have an Intention? How had I been moving through life all these years, Intention-less? Well, sure, I have intentions; be a good person, create a nice life, go to work, pay bills, have a nice home, take some vacations, spend time with my loved ones, you know, like regular “life stuff”. However, what I had not realized, is just how important it is to also be present and live an Intentional Life, not a life stuck on Auto Pilot, but rather, to have a clear vision of what it is that you want out of life. I think I had been too busy to see it through that lens. However, sometimes life gets in the way, and you cannot get clear on what you want or what your goals/dreams are because of all that outside “chatter” of busyness, or inside “chatter” that happens in your big ‘ole beautiful brain. You are putting others first, your job first and you “shelf” yourself until that perfect time. Well, guess what. There will never be a perfect time.

Once I let this all sink in, I got all kinds of crazy ideas – (see, there’s that Infinite Possibility and Creative Awakening blooming inside of me), so much so, that I quit my corporate job! Yep. I just did that.

You see, I’ve always been a helper, since kindergarten, according to Mom (but that is a story for another time- you can find that on my blog, but for now, focus, Sheila, focus!). Among my duties at my prior job, I was the “go to person”, among my other duties. Maybe that was because I was there for so long and knew the ins and outs of the company and business, however, I sincerely and truly did like to be that person that could be of service. It wasn’t for the kudos, (while they are nice) but it was a way of passing on my knowledge, wit and wisdom on the topic, so that I could contribute to the team; to bring some kind of ease to their day. A little gift. A sparkle. A smile. The answer.

So, as I continued my Feng Shui training, it really struck me how I can be of service to others who are/were just like me. I understand the stress, hustle, and bustle of a busy life, a corporate life, and how, if we don’t pay attention, it can take its toll on our well-being. So, what if you could take some small steps to regain your time back, get your energy back, get that mojo/flow back? What would it feel like to have your home or office set up for ease, harmony, and functionality? A home that sets you up to pursuit your creative side? A home that mirrors you. I understand what it takes to get there, and I want to help. I know how hard it can be to unplug and close that office door at the end of the day, (especially if you are still in WFH mode) and connect to yourself and family. To be present. To be Intentional in your actions. I want you to be in your best flow, realizing your dreams and intentions everyday, living with infinite possibilities, and with enough energy to take back to your family, be creative, be engaged and not overwhelmed and tired.

This Feng Shui Method is FUN! We use Infinite Possibility, your Intention and Creative Awakening as our foundation to discover what it is that you want out of your space and life and put it into ACTION!

I want to Feng Shui everyone and everything! Got a junk drawer that is out.of.control? Hey, let’s Feng Shui it! Is your pantry a.hot.mess? Let’s pull all the stuff out and Feng Shui it! Are you feeling blocked, or stifled in a particular room, or feeling a bit wonky in general? Have you lost your creative flow? Hey, I bet we can get to the bottom of it with Feng Shui!

I’m not going to say that Feng Shui saved my life, or made me quit my job, however, what I can say without a doubt, is that practicing this Method has really opened my eyes to all the Infinite Possibilities of how I can live a more meaningful and fuller life, a life in alignment. I feel like I found a new modality for living and am creating a new chapter in life that I would love to share with anyone who is interested in Feng Shui or just trying to slow down and enjoy life.

I like to try things out before I make suggestions to friends/family/clients. It’s like our home is a real life, real world, field-tested laboratory! We regularly move our furniture and art, really leaning into the feeling of the flow in the rooms, and most importantly, how we feel in the rooms. I encourage my clients to do what feels best for them. Not me. In the “trying” of new things, you can feel a new energy in your space. That little shift you start is momentum, and that can be the start of something Epic!

One of the basic principles of Feng Shui is that our homes are a mirror of our life. Once we take that first step in deciding to make changes in our homes, it can then support us to make even deeper changes in our lives. A real launchpad, if you will, to create an amazing life that flows with ease, supports your dreams and is very intentional!

It has been fun experimenting, decluttering, donating, and giving our items a second chance in a different room of the house and I love taking before and after photos in the process. However, sometimes a decluttering project can send you in a spiral of grief, overwhelm and shame. I took on a very personal and challenging decluttering project when my Mom passed away. It took me to my knees. I wanted to be able to honor her things with the utmost of care and respect of her most treasured items. I wanted to bring everything of hers, home to our home. We didn’t have space for it, and we were not going to pay to store her items, to simply collect dust in a storage unit. I knew in my heart of hearts that she wouldn’t have wanted it that way either. There were several hysterical calls home to my husband when I was completely crushed and overwhelmed with what to do with all her things, but he patiently reminded me to breathe. He also reminded me that those letters and cards that she saved were not for me to read; those were her memories to remind her of the lovely life she had. While I’m sure I didn’t always make the “right” decisions that she would have made, I did it with thoughtful care, mindfulness and intention. I passed on some special items to her sisters, family and friends, and I have some treasures now of my own that I look at and enjoy every day. That was the hardest thing I think I’ll ever have to do. So, if this is the kind of decluttering you need to do, I’ll be happy to guide you and offer all my tender advice and support.

While I am still learning and growing in these aspects of Feng Shui, I feel now that I am living with Intention, Infinite Possibilities, and finding my own sense of Creative Awakening. I know that I will learn from others as our paths cross and that I will take that knowledge with me and onto the next project and client.

I have already set an intention for you! That you’ll have an amazing experience creating balance, ease and wonder in your days! That you’ll create beautiful spaces in your home that support your dreams, goals, and intentions. A place that gives you a soft landing after a long day. A place where you can connect with all the things that bring you joy, love, and abundance! You might also discover your hidden creative side!

I would be honored to be part of your Feng Shui journey!
