Good Vibes
So, I was thinking about this picture a little more, that I had posted over the weekend. I really love neon signs, especially with an inspirational message of wit or positivity, or just to get you to think in a new ‘light’. I also like beautiful painted murals in obscure places to also give us a gentle reminder of the beauty of words and images.
This sign happened to be in a community room that our friends were hosting their after wedding gathering in and it just made me feel really happy!
Happy because they found one another, happy because they married in a forest, on a mountain, at sunrise and happy because they are awesome human beings! (Shout Out to Kim & Kari!!!)
The room was abuzz with hugs, selfies, deep conversations, small talk with strangers, snacks and a beautiful wedding cake that must have had 7 layers! Everything about the gathering was definitely giving me those “Good Vibe” feelings.
What I began to think about was the fact that many times we over prioritize our striving for happiness; positivity on steroids, fake it till you make it, or trying to attain that high vibe living, all.the.time, so much so, that we forget that it’s okay to have a meh kind of day, because I’ll accept you where you are in this (im)perfect moment, and I hope that you’ll do the same for me on my meh days.
Bottom Line- I think we simply go for the good ole’ “Good Vibes” when we can, and leave the “Only” at the door. That should give us the break we need. Just be where we are in this moment- pressure free.
Have a great rest of your week everyone! Here are a few of my other favorite neon signs and murals as of late.
